Going, going GONE!
We got to go home the next day. They said 10:00am . However that is standard hospital time. We left the hospital at 11:45. Derek and the girls came in the morning. Derek left the girls there while he went to get Raymond from school. Kids are pretty funny once boredom kicks in.
As I was getting Ashlynn dressed she cried in protest. Kayann thought she was just too noise.
We finally made it out of there, with our sweet pink stripped baby!

The big day!
It all started Sunday the 18th, around 11:30. Laying in bed I started having some painful contractions. I told Derek he better go to sleep because I would be waking him up in a couple of hours. I got up and went pee. Told him to switch me sides of the bed (so I could see the clock). I laid down. Less than 2 minutes later I say "honey, I think my water just broke". It is now 11:48 pm. Derek being himself, gets up, starts running around like mad. Getting dressed, getting a towel, and whatnot. I get up 5 minutes later put on my slippers and tell my mom we are leaving.
12:15 I am admitted to the hospital.
My mom got there at 1:30 am. I am very grateful that my mom was able to be there. Derek has never been a coach for a natural birth. My mom was a great help.
The next thing I know it is 3:45 am. I'm a 7-8 and 100%. The nurse says she is going to call the dr. Ten minutes later I'm freaking out because I need to push. Of course the say I just have to ride out a few couple more contractions. Have you ever had to "ride" out a few contractions? Um yea sucky! The dr got there at 4:10 am. Ashlynn was born at 4:17. I was going to make the story short but it doesnt get much shorter than that!
Ashlynn Grace made it into the world at 4:17. She weighed 7 lbs 3 oz and was 19 1/2 inches long.
We finally got to meet our sweet little girl!
Mom was so tired! She was so helpful though and hung in there with me.
5:00 am rolled around.
Derek went to sleep, Mom went home. I nursed a hungry baby while we waited to be moved to a new room.
Derek went home and brought all the kids back. They were so excited. Ashlynn is a lucky girl. She has siblings that just love her to pieces
Ashlynn is a sweet little girl. She is so content. She loves to eat and sleep. I adore her. Look at this face?
How can you not?

37 weeks
It has come time to add more belly pictures. No funny faces thanks to small children. Derek and I went to Sears to get a few pictures done.
Before you see the pictures here is a little update. At my last dr app. I was 36 1/2 weeks. I'm dilated to a 2 and 50% effaced. He thought it would be another 1-2 weeks. Well its been 1 week and still no baby. We will see
This is the first pregnancy I got pictures done with dad. Kayann was with JoEllen. I was unable to do them with Raymond.
It is hard not to laugh or make funny faces.
The lady was totally in love with my tattoo and liked having it in the picture. They turned out well
This one is my by far my favorite. It is simple and nice.

A date.
Ok so I'm pretty sure we have finally decided on a day for the wedding. It was a tough one. I wanted a fall wedding. Derek thought that was too far away. We picked August 1st. Why? I dont know. He says it is a good date to remember. I'm just glad it isnt spring or summer. I guess in Ut it is summer though.

Like my brother.
Let me set the scene.....
I was in the kitchen cleaning. The boys, Raymond and Kobe, and Kayann were downstairs playing. The boys being boys were sliding down the stairs on a blanket (much like Joe and Sean).
Now, the story........
Kayann comes crying to me that her brother is being mean and wont play with her. I yell, "Raymond, Kobe, you guys be nice to sister". They decide to let her go down the stairs with them. The first time I hear, in a little boy voice, "Ooooo! my wienie" They giggle. Get up and do it again. The second time I hear, in a sweet little girl voice "Oooo! my wienie".
I couldnt help but to laugh. Why is it that little sisters want to be just like their big brothers? I know what ever one is going to say..... Remember the fire barrel? Um yes I do. I remember waddling to the house, my pants around my ankles, covered in pee, crying. There stood my mom yelling out the farm door "boys stop peeing in front of your sister". However I still wanted to do it like them.

We do this for what?.......
We had the chance to all get together (minus JoEllen and her family) to take family pictures.
Why? Well because we havent taken a family picture with all of us, professionally, since I was 15. The other reason: Joe is deploying to Iraq shortly. We dont know when he will be back. Sean lives in VA training as an Operation Specialist. Time with him is far and in between and will be less once he gets out of school
Out of the grandkids (and Jakobe) only one was cranky. That would be Kayann. All she wanted was her grandma
We now all have "spouses". Some even have kids. Ok I have the most kids!
John, Lisa and baby Zac
Christian and Andria
My family
and Joe and Cari
Now if you know the family, you know we are a crazy bunch. While trying to pose boys are being boys. Grabbing each others butts, doing nut checks, irritating the girls. This can make pictures a longer process than normal. Over all I think that the pictures turned out well. Mom will love them. Another photographer will have to endure our craziness the next time JoEllen is able to make it to SLC. For now this will have to do
